Wow, I loved J

Easy picks:
  • The Jeweller’s Hand – Arctic Monkeys - This song has some serious swagger.  Their best song from their best album.
  • Jigsaw Falling Into Place – Radiohead - This song has some great hooks.  The vocals are some of Yorke's best.
  • Joker and a Thief – Wolfmother - For the butt-rock in each of us.
  • Jolene – The White Stripes (cover) - Dolly Parton just didn't know what to do with this song.  Jack White took it to a whole new level.
  • Julius – StrFkr - Classic
  • July, July! – The Decemberists - Reminds me of my daughter.
  • Just - Radiohead - BEST MUSIC VIDEO EVER.  I remember conversations with friends, all speculating about what was whispered at the end.

  1. While I will remain true to Dolly until the day I die, I will agree with you that covers of her songs are generally awesome!!! Haven't heard this one. But I have another great cover of Jolene I will have to post.

  2. OK, I need to listen to these tonight - I know many of them, but not well enough to comment!

  3. These were all really good songs! By the way, he whispers "Rosebud" at the end. Jigsaw is one of my favorite Radiohead songs, Joker and the Thief is fantastic (would not call it butt rock at all), and you both know how I feel about StrFkr. White Stripes Jolene is fantastic, but both Dolly's version and Jack's pale in comparison to Miley Cyrus' from her famous Backyard Sessions (please, please link to the videor).
