Favorite Story Songs

Have you ever found yourself getting lost in the beauty of what I call a "Story Song"?  I'm sure there is a formal name for this type of song - a song that tells a great story about someone getting shot or divorced.  Call it what you will, I am in love with them.  Furthermore, I find myself delving into artists I normally wouldn't when it comes to story songs.

My Top Three:

  • Highway Patrolman - Bruce Springsteen
  • Carolina Drama - The Raconteurs
  • Blackjack Davey - Bob Dylan

Homeward Bound - Simon & Garfunkel
Fire and Rain - James Taylor
