Old vs. New, Part Deux

Next up in the arena, Wild Horses.

Originally penned by the Rolling Stones circa 1971, it ranked as the #334 greatest song by Rolling Stone in 2004.  A slew of artists have covered it, but perhaps the most well known cover version is by The Sundays, a British dream pop group from the early '90s.

What say thee, noble music lovers?  Did Harriet Wheeler and gang elevate this song to an even greater level?  Or do the Stones remain on top of the summit?

My vote to follow!

  1. I have always loved the Sundays version of this better. And does anyone else get sick of Mick Jagger crotch shots?

  2. These are some great battles! I'm partial to the Sundays, but the Stones is great too.
